Tigger 17th December 1995 - 28th January 2008

Born in Ireland, the name that was given to him was Cooneen Tower. When he retired from the track he was taken to Kamas Cave to be found a forever home, which he did, with his adoring Mum Sylvia.
He enjoyed the best kind of life a hound could wish for, with love, cuddles and long walks…..and access to Sylvia's bed for daily snoozes.

Tigger had some 'fame' too as he was in the supporting cast of a play which was held at the Sir John Mills Theatre in Ipswich. The play was called 'A Night at the Dogs' and ran for 5 nights.

My boy Wazzle... he was my first greyhound and is the reason why Kamas Cave Greyhound Rescue exists today.

Back in 1998, penniless and looking for work, I answered an advert in a local shop window for a kennel maid. When I went for the interview I was amazed at what I saw….a kennel full of Greyhounds. I had previously never been in close contact with these dogs to experience their wonderful nature and was amazed to see what absolute angels they are and how much they have to give. They are loving, funny and the perfect companions, just adorable.

There is such a void without Wazzle and I miss him terribly but I will always be so grateful for having had this wonderful hound in my life. He made me realise that when their racing days are over these loving creatures deserve so very much more, than many are allowed, and everything possible should be done so that they spend the rest of their lives knowing the love and comfort of a home life.

Thank you, my Old Man Wazzle, I owe you so much.
