Tuesday 19th May at 2pm

So sorry this message has been a while coming. Ann’s funeral service will be Tuesday 19th May at 2pm at Spalding crematorium.

With the lock down due to the Covid-19 virus it has taken longer to organise than usual and we have been waiting to hear back from the crematorium regarding details after Boris Johnson’s announcement last night.

Due to the virus, unfortunately we cannot have the number of mourners who would love to attend to pay their respects at the crematorium or anyone wanting to sit in the car park who are not with the official party.

Just to reiterate please do not attend the crematorium. If people do turn up, even if you are outside, the crematorium staff are within their rights to refuse everyone entry into the chapel grounds. This is for the safety of not only mourners, but staff too. Thank you for your understanding at this incredibly difficult time.

We have been able to secure a live video stream of the funeral service so you can all be involved. We will post more details and the link to the crematorium stream as soon as we have it.

Kirstie and James have requested that we wear black and bright colours which is fitting for Ann so maybe on the day you could wear something colourful for her.

As soon as it is safe to do so we will be holding a memorial walk and fun day in Ann’s name which we hope everyone can attend. If you have any queries or are unsure of anything please contact Paul Hindle or Vicky Johnson.

Please note that Ann requested that there be family flowers only. Rather than flowers she asked that people donate to the sponsor and foster dogs. We have set up the Ann Brandon Memorial Fund to carry out her wishes and care for the dogs now and in the future.

If you would like to donate to Ann’s Memorial Fund you can do this by PayPal sending it to phindle67@btinternet.com as sending money to a friend. Please put FOR ANN in the PayPal message box. If you do not have PayPal please message the Kama’s Cave page and we can confirm bank details or the address to send a cheque.

We have created an online Facebook Event where we will post the link for the live video stream.

We have the website and login details for the live video stream of Ann’s Funeral Service which you will find at the bottom of this post along with instructions.

Before giving you the details, we need to reiterate the following:

UNLESS YOU ARE PART OF THE FAMILY GROUP OF MOURNERS YOU MUST NOT ATTEND THE CREMATORIUM, EITHER WITHIN THE GROUNDS OR OUTSIDE ON THE STREET.

WE FULLY UNDERSTAND THAT MANY OF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT TO THE FAMILY AND SAY GOODBYE TO ANN BUT DUE TO THE CURRENT LOCKDOWN SITUATION THIS CANNOT HAPPEN AT SPALDING CREMATORIUM ON TUESDAY.

IF PEOPLE DO TURN UP THE STAFF AT THE CREMATORIUM WILL NOT ALLOW THE SERVICE TO TAKE PLACE AND WE ARE SURE THAT NO ONE WOULD WANT THAT TO HAPPEN.

As soon as the restrictions are lifted enough for large groups to gather we will look to organise a walk, and hopefully a picnic, where we hope as many people and hounds as possible will join us to remember Ann and celebrate her life.
